It must be registered if it "conducts a commercial operation". An association can serve as a non-profit organization (NPO) or non-governmental organization (NGO) and this form is used by several Swiss sections of international NGOs such as Amnesty International, and the World Wildlife Fund, by business firms (see below) or by international organizations such as the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). When thinking about the mass extermination camps of a holocaust think.. The key to freedom is to be able to have the ability to defend yourself &, if you dont have the tools to do that, then youre going to be at the mercy of whomever wants to put you away. Guns are deeply rooted within Swiss culture - but the gun crime rate is so low that statistics are not even kept. The country has a population of six million, but there are estimated to be at least two million publicly-owned firearms, including about 600,000 automatic rifles and 500,000 pistols. This is in a very large part due to Switzerland's unique system of national defence, developed over the centuries. Instead of a standing, full-time army, the country requires every man to undergo some form of military training for a few days or weeks a year throughout most of their lives. Between the ages of 21 and 32 men serve as frontline troops. They are given an M-57 assault rifle and 24 rounds of ammunition which they are required to keep at home. Once discharged, men serve in the Swiss equivalent of the US National Guard, but still have to train occasionally and are given bolt rifles. Women do not have to own firearms, but are encouraged to. Update 28th December 2010: Out of nearly 3 million views of this video there are 4358 thumbs up to 427 thumbs down. So, you could say, if any of us lived in any sort of real democracy in this world that would mean that only one in every ten people would like to keep gun control laws. Guess this means that we're not and that the tyrants still have all the real power. Offshore Company Formation - It is legal in 2017 This video explains the actual legal situation regarding offshore companies. You learn how to keep your legal offshore company legal and accepted by the tax authorities. Hi, here is EC with sbl The classic offshore company has no staff and no office space. It is a pure investment vehicle to have your bank account in the name of your company and not in your name. The classic offshore company was used to hide and keep untaxed money outside of the influence of your country of residence. It was a business model used by Swiss banks and agencies for decades. Now it’s over. It is not anymore possible to pay zero taxes. The AEI has abolished the classic use of an offshore company. More than 100 nations have agreed in Berlin 2014 to exchange sensitive client information according to the Common Reporting Standard. In Switzerland it is impossible to open a bank account with an offshore company if the money is not tax compliant. It is illegal in Switzerland to maintain untaxed money. The Swiss bankers are receiving a bonus, if they can convince a client to participate to a Voluntary Disclosure Program and legalize the Swiss bank account. The offshore company itself is not illegal, but it is impossible to open a bank account with your offshore company. Do not trust corporate services agencies offering offshore companies with Swiss bank accounts. It will not work. It is impossible to cheat the taxman with the classic offshore company. It is 100% legal to set up a company – for example in Malta - and provide the company with staff members and office space. If you do real business in Malta, you need a real company in Malta. The taxation in Malta is very competitive. In Malta you pay 5% taxes only. That’s not bad. It is 100% legal to set-up a company in Malta and pay taxes of 5% only. The tax efficient setup in Malta is not that simple. You need qualified advice to set up a tax-efficient structure which is accepted by the tax authorities and not product pushers. Do not trust the offshore company agencies. They are not tax expert. The wrong structure can cost you a lot of money if you do mistakes with your setup. We will open your bank accounts and present the new structure to the banks. If you are an international business man and you want to save taxes and mitigate your tax impact, just pick up the phone now and give me a call on the number on the caption below. Our structures will work, and you save taxes legally. Our structures are widely accepted. Be rich and remain rich. The main threat is, however, from hackers. Switzerland has become a global refuge for digital data. Its legal security is one major selling point. After the Snowden affair, Phil Zimmermann - inventor of the email data encryption system PGP and one of the world’s leading experts on data security - transferred his business to Geneva. He had witnessed how other companies were forced to hand out customer data and even encryption codes to the United States authorities. --- swissinfo.ch is the international branch of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC). Although Switzerland is one of the most gun-friendly countries in the world, there have been some misconceptions concerning the rules and regulations governing Swiss gun ownership. American "gun-shop legend" has it that in Switzerland every home is required to keep a well maintained fully-automatic battle rifle ready to go at a moment's notice and even that failure to maintain enough ammo in your possession will result in a fine from the authorities. However, this is not entirely accurate - at least not anymore. In this video, Rex discussed gun ownership in Switzerland with a participant of the Swiss shooting community. Although the shooting culture is very strong in Switzerland today, the laws governing private firearms ownership is more restrictive than many American gun writers make it sound. Stay tuned for the full interview. NOTES: The "Waffenerwerbsschein" remains valid for 6 months but only allows you to purchase the guns you requested it for (so if you got it to buy an AR 15 and a Colt 1911 and you see a nice AK47, you would need a new one to legally buy it). You can buy the following weapons without acquiring a "Waffenschein" but the purchase has to be announced by sending a copy of your purchase contract to the authorities within 30 days according to Art. 10, paragraph 1 Federal Firearm Bill and Art. 19, Federal Firearm Bill. 1. Source: http://www.gl.ch/xml_1/internet/de/application/d1256/d39/d373/d1025/f1028.cfm Carrying: You are allowed to carry guns to and from shooting ranges, salesmen and arsenals without a licence. However, you MUST make sure that the gun obviously is unable to fire (magazine and bolt carrier must be visibly removed). If you consider yourself an endangered person, you can plead for a carry licence that allows you to carry a concealed weapon - you'll have to renew this licence every year which includes psychologic testing and an observed handling and shooting check (and of course, it's somewhat pricy). When you buy a Swiss made product, you aren’t just purchasing something manufactured in Switzerland; you’re acquiring a product that meets stringent Swiss legal standards for quality. Swiss Made MovementThe words “Swiss Made” on a fine watch are of particular importance, since watchmaking is one of Switzerland’s most important industries. These words are prescribed by law, and a timepiece cannot be considered Swiss Made unless it contains a Swiss movement that has been encased in Switzerland, where the manufacturer carries out the watch’s final inspection. A movement itself cannot be classified as Swiss Made unless it has been assembled in Switzerland, has been inspected by the manufacturer in Switzerland, and contains Swiss made components that constitute at least 50% of its total value. Swiss watchmakers have been responsible for many of the industry’s most important innovations. The quality and craftsmanship found in Swiss factories and manufacturing facilities are legendary. With the enviable reputation Swiss watchmakers have been able to achieve during several centuries of perfecting their art, it’s no surprise that many fine watches aspire to be called Swiss Made.

A Swiss association ("Verein" in German, "association" in French, "associazione" in Italian) is a legal structure in Swiss law, defined in the civil code (Part one, title two, chapter two). It is similar to the Anglo-American voluntary association. Unlike in Germany, a Swiss association does not need to be registered in order to have a separate legal personality. The form can also be used by political parties and alliances, such as trade unions. As the establishment of an association involves only little paperwork and no registration or fees, it is an important legal form in Switzerland and often used by groups such as sport and social clubs. It has also become a useful form for multiparty business organizations. The only requirement is that prior to the establishment, two persons draw up bylaws and appoint the organs of the association (such as the board and the auditors).
